Our Story
The PWD Unit was established within the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development at the Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly to give Persons With Disability living in the Municipality a direct, accountable channel to the support and services they are entitled to. Since then, the Unit has worked to register members of the community, review and act on relief applications, and connect residents with assistive devices and support drives across the Municipality's communities.
