Who We Serve
The PWD Unit sits within the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development at the Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly. Our mandate is to identify, register, and support Persons With Disability living within the Municipality — connecting members of the community with the relief and services they are entitled to.
What We Do
Community Registration Drives
Our staff visit communities across the Municipality to register Persons With Disability who are unable to visit our office directly.
Relief Application Support
Registered applicants can submit relief applications and track their status online, with PWD Unit staff reviewing and acting on each request.
MONITORING
We monitor to assess the impact of the economic items on the lives of beneficiaries .
